Barry brings over twenty years of financial management experience in the wine industry to Atlas Vineyard Management. He also draws on his experience as an athlete to inspire a winning team spirit in the company, which extends to AVM’s clients and partners.
Prior to starting AVM, he was the Director of Financial Operations for Premier Pacific Vineyards where he was responsible for more than 35 separate vineyard LLC's that encompassed more than 1600 acres of high quality wine grape vineyards, both in development and fully producing.
Barry’s winery experience also included the roles of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, and Controller for over eight years at Domaine Chandon, and Newton Winery with Moet Wine Estates.
He began his career with the Pepsi Co family spending over eight years in both the Taco Bell and Frito Lay Headquarters, and four years at a Frito Lay Manufacturing Facility. Barry continues to utilize daily the structured training, workflow efficiency planning, methods and strategies he learned as part of the Pepsi Co team.
Barry was a scholar athlete at Fresno State University where he was an All American Placekicker on the football team, and received his B.S. in Business Administration and M.B.A. Wine is part of his heritage as the grandson of an Italian immigrant who tended a home wine cellar, and Barry is proud to be a part of continuing that cultural tradition.
