Hans Vidkjer is a technical viticulturist with Atlas VM, where he provides support to the viticulture team with GIS, mapping, climate monitoring, and information technology services.
One of five children, Hans was born and raised in the upper Napa Valley, where his parents settled after immigrating from Germany and Denmark in 1959. Hans attended Calistoga public schools, and Graduated Cum Laude from California State University at Northridge in 1990 with a BS in Geography.
In 1996, Hans joined Terra Spase, Inc., the viticulture and technology consulting firm founded by internationally recognized soil scientist Paul Skinner, Ph.D., where he coordinated the firm's GIS, remote sensing and climate monitoring programs. Terra Spase was purchased by Atlas Vineyard Management in 2016, and Hans joined the Atlas team as part of the merger of the two companies.
